Has she made a movie not based on a book? I imagine the Movie Tie-In section (do they still have those?)of some bookshops must be just a Wall of Knightley.
OH GOD I forgot about that turgid King Arthur movie. Now I have to go watch twelve hours of Woody Allen just to wash the memory of its existence from my brain.
It's not good, is it? With this, The Great Gatsby and Cloud Atlas coming out, it looks like a bumper season for movies vulgarising and ruining great books.

ReplyDeleteThere are a few, but not many. And a number of those ('King Arthur', 'Neverland', etc), are indirectly derived from books.
