As part of the extended Edward Gorey cover design bonanza, one of the books we looked at was The Recently Deflowered Girl: The right thing to say on every dubious occasion.
A helpful commenter on that post, Jamie, has pointed the way to a spot online where the whole book has been posted. Here are a couple of pages to give you an idea... (Click for readable-sized versions.)

Oh, thank you for pointing this out! I meant to try to get a used copy months ago when I first learned about the book through your Gorey set; even better to learn that I can look at it online first!
When it comes to out of print books, I love it when people have scanners and no respect for copyright.
I recently found a link to this page through a chat group on Ravelry, and I wanted to let you know that the LiveJournal link no longer works. I'm looking for a link that does work, but am having no luck so far. Also, I just wanted to thank you for posting these pages for us to see!
Damn, you're right! And the Wayback Machine doesn't have it, either. I believe Bloomsbury have reprinted it in the last few months, though.
You are correct - they did, in fact, reprint it. And now I must buy it! Thank you for the heads up!
