It is also difficult to see also the novels that have been picked out as such (misogynistic writings) when the parable of the story is entirely different.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5413291183164140297.post-26844452771255980202011-12-07T13:30:11.870-08:002011-12-07T13:30:11.870-08:00Well, in isolation, no, they're the simply the...Well, in isolation, no, they're the simply the words of a sexist. It's his work as a whole, and other interviews he has given, which show him to be a woman-hater.JRSMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04430775461763521797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5413291183164140297.post-22213079618665620612011-12-07T08:46:25.009-08:002011-12-07T08:46:25.009-08:00It is interesting to accuse someone of being mysog...It is interesting to accuse someone of being mysogynistic when in the very quote you use he states further down in the same passage of the interview... 'I am all in favour of women, I love them, I do not want to subjugate them by penis or by restrictions or by anything like that, I just don't think they can compete on the same terms.' Hardly the words of a woman hater.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5413291183164140297.post-59533187256190290392009-03-06T15:38:00.000-08:002009-03-06T15:38:00.000-08:00That's very interesting to know, as 'Death of Gras...That's very interesting to know, as 'Death of Grass' is one of this blog's recurring obsessions: I'll update the post with your info. Both novels contain scenes of which this illustration could be a representation. I think the swap-over was because of an illustrator not coming up with the goods on time and All Fool's Day was due out sooner. I am not so sure that it wasn't used on Death of Grass as Well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
